We look forward to supporting you and providing your child with a warm and memorable child care experience.

Through a grant provided by Smart Start of Buncombe County, Children and Friends will be using Creative Classroom Curriculum in each classroom. As one of the North Carolina preferred early childhood curriculums, Creative Curriculum is a comprehensive educational system designed for children ages six weeks through age 5. It promotes the use of interest centers as a way of providing experiences that promote cognitive, social, and physical and language development. The developmental progress of children can be charted in order for teachers to best meet the educational needs of each child.

Studies show that music helps motivate children to learn, so we have initiated a Music Program for the 2-5 year-old children to help unlock the musician inside of them!

We're celebrating 35 years of service to the Swannanoa Valley. This past December marked 35 years since Church Women United in Swannanoa began a daycare in the basement of a church. The vision then as it is now is to care for children in an environment that fosters individual growth. Join with us as we move forward into the next 35 years.
